May 9th: Route 66 Neon Park Lighting Ceremony Beginning 7 pm Come be part of this historic event as relics from the past come back alive, as the switch is flipped, and the neon signs light up the night sky. May 10th: Freedom Fest 11 am – 4 pm Craft vendors, home based businesses, all types of food vendors for everyone to enjoy, games for the entire family.  Bounce house and kids activities. May 23rd – 26th:  36th Annual Mid American Freedom Rally 12 pm – 11:59 pm This rally is dedicated to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom for the United States of America. There will be vendors. There will be vendors, a bike show, field events and live music every night! No Admittance to anyone under the age of 18. Museums, Farmers Markets & Reoccurring Events

 

Year Round: Mahaffey Museum Complex Mon thru Fri 8 am - 4 pm & Sat 9 am - 3 pm Mahaffey Museum Complex houses the rich history and contributions of the Military Police, Army Engineers, and Chemical Warfare Units. This complex is adjacent to the WWII Army Complex Museum, which replicates Fort Leonard Wood as it was during the 1940s and the Memorial Grove area. 14296 South Dakota Avenue, Building 1607 on Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473 Closed on Federal Holidays Museums are free, but Post Access to FLW is required.

Every Saturday, April - October: Old Stagecoach Stop Museum 10 am - 4 pm The oldest publicly accessible building in Pulaski County was built by W.W. McDonald in the mid 1850's and contains 10 rooms of history that have been restored to a different significant time period in the building's past. 106 N. Lynn Street in Waynesville, MO 65583. Buses, groups, and other visitors are also welcome by appointment. Entrance is free, but donations are appreciated.

Every Saturday: Pulaski County Farmers Market 8 am - 12 pm This weekly, year-round market features fresh produce, baked goods, live plants, crafts, pet items, kid vendors, and other home-made goods. Local authors, special vendors & food trucks vary by season. Farmers Market Pavilion, near the Roubidoux Spring Campground in Waynesville, MO 65583 *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors

Every Saturday May thru October: 1903 Route 66 Courthouse Museum 11 am - 4 pm The original courthouse for Pulaski County and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Displays focus on the Trail of Tears, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, local history, and collections of quilts, farm equipment, and antiques. 303 Historic Route 66 in Waynesville, MO 65583 Busses, groups, and other visitors are also welcome by appointment. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated.

Closed May 17, 2025 - Next Farmers Market June 21st.  Every third Saturday until September: Crocker Farmers Market  9 am - 1 pm The market vendors vary and offer a selection of homemade, home grown, or home cooked goods. Market located at Norma Lee’s Frisco Park in Crocker, MO 65452 *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors.  

May 17th & Every third Saturday: Free 5K Donut Run A free monthly 5K run begins at 8 am with free coffee and donuts after the run provided. Run at Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583 Free Event

May 26th: Run to Remember Memorial Day 2025 6 am – 12 pm This Memorial Day, let's once again show our gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy in this country by flooding our streets with American flags. There will be a circle of remembrance before heading out to the Veterans' Cemetery and then back to Route 66, up Frog Hill and out to Missouri Avenue, where we will turn around at the main gate. May 31st: Vintage Summer Stroll 9 am – 5 pm Join us for a day of shopping and exploration in Downtown Dixon and Crocker! Take a scenic drive through two charming communities and uncover hidden gems along the way. Whether you’re on the hunt for one-of-a-kind antiques, vintage treasures, or unique local artistry, there's something for everyone! Dixon and Crocker locations.

May 31st: Sip & Shop 9 am – 5 pm Join us for a Sip & Shop while checking out the great shops and people of Dixon! Stop by this vendor fair during Dixon's Vintage Summer Stroll, grab a drink, and shop with our local vendors. Olde Oak Station 300 Elm Street in Dixon, MO 65459
