February 14 Sock Hop 6 pm – 8 pm - We’re turning back the clock to the fabulous 1950s for a night filled with rock ’n’ roll, retro vibes, and plenty of fun. February 20 2026 Community Leadership Awards Banquet 6 pm – 9pm - Shines a spotlight on the remarkable contributions of our community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and civic groups, and culminates with the celebration of our Citizen of the Year. 137 St. Robert Boulevard, Suite B, St. Robert, MO 65584. February 28 FWCSC Roaring Hearts Speakeasy & Basket Auction 6 pm – 10 pm - The night will feature live and silent auctions, games of chance, an energetic wine and whiskey pull, and more. As one of our most highly anticipated events of the year, this fundraiser brings together hundreds of military families, friends, and local supporters. March 5 16th Annual Banquet For Life 6 pm – 8 pm - The banquet raises funds for the crisis pregnancy center and pregnancy home in Waynesville, Missouri. Guests will enjoy a full-course meal by Vidies, a silent auction from 5:00–6:00 p.m., and family-friendly comedy from Brad Stine. 25625 Highway 17, Waynesville, MO 65583. Registration Required.
March 7 16th Annual Payin for the Spayin 5k Winter Run/Walk 10 am – 11:30 am - Participants are invited to run or walk alongside their leashed dogs for a fun-filled morning supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the event help offset the cost of spaying and neutering every cat and dog in our care prior to adoption. Pets are welcome to participate with their guardians but must be leashed and up to date on vaccinations. 113 Park Street, Crocker, MO 65452. Registration Required.
March 7 Racing for Daylight 12 Hour Run/Walk 6 pm – 7 pm - It’s the perfect training run for upcoming spring ultras—or a great challenge for anyone looking to push their limits without the pressure of strict cutoffs. This is a fun run, not a race against the clock. The event lasts up to 12 hours, but participants are welcome to join for as long—or as short—as they like. March 15 Disc Golf Bring Your Own Doubles Day Arrive by 9:45 am - Bring Your Own Double and join Columbia Disc Golf Club for a day of disc golf fun at Hanna Hills Disc Golf Course. All skill levels welcome! 29350 Sterling Rd, Laquey, MO, 65534. Admission Fee.
March 27 Kickin it Route 66 Color Run/Walk 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm - Join us for great energy, great food, and a great start to an unforgettable celebration! Participants are encouraged to wear a white T-shirt and prepare to get covered in color during this lively evening run. The Color Run is just the beginning of the weekend fun. Museums
Year Round: Mahaffey Museum Complex Mon thru Fri 8 am - 4 pm & Sat 9 am - 3 pm - Mahaffey Museum Complex houses the rich history and contributions of the Military Police, Army Engineers, and Chemical Warfare Units. This complex is adjacent to the WWII Army Complex Museum, which replicates Fort Leonard Wood as it was during the 1940’s and the Memorial Grove area. 14296 South Dakota Avenue, Building 1607 on Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473 Closed on Federal Holidays Museums are free, but Post Access to FLW is required.
Every Saturday: *Pulaski County Farmers Market 8 am - 12 pm - This weekly, year round market features fresh produce, baked goods, live plants, crafts, pet items, kid vendors and other home-made goods. Local authors, special vendors & food trucks vary by season. Farmers Market Pavilion, near the Roubidoux Spring Campground in Waynesville, MO 65583 *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors.
