July 4th Independence Day Celebration and Patriotic Color Run on Fort Leonard Wood - Don't miss a day full of fun! Start your day off right with a 5K color run/walk! Enjoy live music, children's activities, food & drink vendors, Car Show, the largest fireworks display in Central Missouri and MORE! July 12th Leathernecks MC 7th Annual Car and Bike Show Come show off your ride, compete for top honors, and enjoy a great day of engines, style, and community! Vehicle Registration Opens at 10 a.m.  Judging Begins 2 p.m. To compete in car show there is a fee. Located at American Legion Post 331 484 St. Robert Outer Rd in Saint Robert, MO.

 

July 12th 9th Annual Ultra Sweaty Santa -6- Hour Endurance Run The 9th Annual Ultra Sweaty Santa is back and hotter than ever! Join us bright and early at 6:00 a.m. on July 19th for a wild summer run that wraps up at 12:00 p.m. then stay to cool off in the river! Whether you're in it for the miles, the smiles, or the post-run river chill. Ultra Sweaty Santa is the summer race you don’t want to miss! 21050 Teardrop Road in Devils Elbow, MO. Free Event.

 

July 26th - 27th Old Settlers Days Come enjoy a weekend of fun! Living history encampment, reenactments, live music, crafts, and great food! Living history reenactors all weekend! Come see their encampments and visit with them for a while.  Roubidoux Park Park in Waynesville, MO. Free Event

July 3rd – 5th Ruby’s Landing 4th of July Celebration   Thursday activities include a foam party and kids' and adult glow egg hunt. Saturday’s events include a car and motorcycle cruise-in, kids’ fishing derby, community cookout, live music and fireworks at dark. Events at Ruby’s Landing River Resort 22474 Restful Lane in Waynesville MO. Free Event.

 

July 4th 4x4x48 For the Fourth Come check out this 5th annual fitness event, 4 miles, every 4 hours, for 48 hours that will be taking donations for the OneSolePurpose Project to provide a new pair of shoes to every child in Pulaski County's Title I schools. Waynesville High School track located at 200 GW Lane in Waynesville, MO. Free Event.

 

July 5th Red, White, and Blue Tournament 2-person teams will play 18 holes. 6-hole scramble (blue tees), 6-holes best ball (white tees), and 6-hole alternative shot (red tees). Piney Valley Golf Course 10221 Water Intake Road on Fort Leonard Wood, MO. This event is open to the public, but Fort Leonard Wood Post Access is required!

 July 26th 35th Annual Armed Services YMCA Duck Race  For 35 years this Annual Duck Race,  “Fun” Raiser, helps to support the Armed Services YMCA. Come watch the ducks strutting their stuff and going for ‘Best Dressed’. Then speed their way down the Roubidoux to be crowned the ‘Speediest Duck’.  Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO.

 

Museums, Farmers Markets & Reoccurring Events

Year Round: Mahaffey Museum Complex Mon thru Fri 8 am - 4 pm & Sat 9 am - 3 pm Mahaffey Museum Complex houses the rich history and contributions of the Military Police, Army Engineers, and Chemical Warfare Units. This complex is adjacent to the WWII Army Complex Museum which replicates Fort Leonard Wood as it was during the 1940’s and the Memorial Grove area. 14296 South Dakota Avenue, Building 1607 on Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473 Closed on Federal Holidays Museums are free, but Post Access to FLW is required.

 

Every Saturday April - October: Old Stagecoach Stop Museum 10 am - 4 pm The oldest publicly accessible building in Pulaski County built by W.W. McDonald in the mid 1850's and contains 10 rooms of history that have been restored to a different significant time periods in the building's past. 106 N. Lynn Street in Waynesville, MO 65583 Busses, groups, and other visitors are also welcome by appointment. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated.

 

Every Saturday May thru October: 1903 Route 66 Courthouse Museum 11 am - 4 pm The original courthouse for Pulaski County and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Displays focus on the Trail of Tears, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, local history, and collections of quilts, farm equipment, and antiques. 303 Historic Route 66 in Waynesville, MO 65583 Buses, groups, and other visitors are also welcome by appointment. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated.

Old Courthouse Museum will not be open on Saturday, July 26th please go enjoy Old Settlers Day in the Roubidoux Park.

 

Every Saturday: *Pulaski County Farmers Market 8 am - 12 pm This weekly, year round market features fresh produce, baked goods, live plants, crafts, pet items, kid vendors and other home-made goods. Local authors, special vendors & food trucks vary by season. Farmers Market Pavilion, near the Roubidoux Spring Campground in Waynesville, MO 65583 *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors.

 

July 19th - Select Saturdays until September Crocker Farmers Market  9 am - 1 pm The market vendors vary and offer a selection of homemade, home grown, or home cooked goods. Market located at Norma Lee’s Frisco Park in Crocker, MO 65452 *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors.  

 

July 19th - Every Third Saturday Free 5K Donut Run (Color Run) A free monthly 5K run beginning at 8 am with coffee and donuts after the run. At Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583. Check Healthy Futures Pulaski County Facebook page for Summer Staycation Giveaway and Donut Run locations and time changes. Free Event
