Patriot Day Festival will be an all-inclusive, community wide gathering, providing a family fun day to bring service members & families stationed at Fort Leonard Wood together with our surrounding communities. This event will focus on patriotism, music, fellowship, and community, as we remember the tragic events which took place September 11th, 2001. Our vision is to recognize service, sacrifice, and honor that we all hold dear, for love of country and community. This festival will include a remembrance area, many free activities for families including face painting, bounce houses, pony rides, petting zoo, music and more. In addition there will be food trucks and vendors.
*This event is 100% not for profit. All proceeds will be donated back to our community and first responders.
The Armed Services YMCA is a nonprofit 501©(3) charity dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Our goal is to serve our community by offering support and opportunities that empower our military families. Our free or low cost programs help strengthen young families as they learn to cope with the unique challenges of military life. No two ASYMCA’s are exactly alike because no two communities are exactly alike. Our programs and facilities are always based on the distinct needs and interests of our community.
More information and details about the Patriot Day Festival can be found on our website, the festival webpage and our Facebook event.
