The Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce began to host an annual basket auction in 1998 as a Chamber fundraiser. Since then, the annual basket auction grew into the largest Chamber fundraising event. The Taste of Pulaski County originated as its own event in 2005 where area restaurants provided samples of their menus. The Taste provided a venue for restaurants to show off their most popular as well as new menu items and gave area residents an opportunity to try something new. The two events combined in 2006 for the first Taste of Pulaski County & Basket Auction. In 2020, the event had to be adapted due to COVID-19 Protocols and thus the Taste of Pulaski County Passport Edition was born. A restaurant passport was created to encourage community members to dine with local restaurants over a period of time and return their passports for an opportunity to win gift certificates from participating restaurants. The basket auction was held online. Since then, the Passport and Online Basket Auction have continued. Auction will be live 04/23/2026-04/28/2026!
