Visit the lighted sights from December 8th thru 26th, download the interactive map and turn on the holiday tunes for a night or more of festive lights to explore! TWOChristmas Lights on Route 66 in Devils Elbow Dates Changed, now ending December 31st This 1923 Steel Truss Bridge on Route 66 is surrounded by Ozarks beauty by day and enveloped in beautiful lights at night in Devils Elbow. Check out the additional light displays near the bridge, they’re wonderful to see! Holiday lights are lit from dusk until dawn now through December 31st. While you’re getting your kicks on Route 66, be sure to explore all the 33 miles and this unique section of Route 66 in Pulaski County by checking out the Historic Route 66 self-guided driving tour! THREEMeet Santa & Mrs. Claus Still haven’t had a chance to to tell Santa you’ve been nice? Be sure to stop by the Maries County Bank and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and make your request known to good Ole’ Saint Nick! This is a free photo opportunity so bring your camera for capturing this moment on Friday, December 16th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Maries County Bank in Saint Robert, MO 65584

FOURSquirrel Tournament Enjoy the great outdoors and like hunting or trapping squirrels? Come join the Fallen Outdoors and get your squirrels while enjoying the Ozark scenery on Saturday, December 17th (small game hunting permit may be required.) Hunting begins at first light and weigh in is at 3 pm, check in by 3:30 pm with prizes, raffles and snacks. Weigh in site at Storie Book Moments in Waynesville, MO 65583

FIVEDecember Donut Run Come work off those extra Christmas cookies (and then have some donuts and coffee) breathing in the fresh air while you run, walk or ruck this family and stroller friendly, free 5K on Saturday, December 17th. Bring along a toy to donate and help support local children in need! Fun run begins at 8 am with free donuts and coffee following the event at Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583

SIXDixon’s Hometown Christmas Work on finishing up that Christmas List on Saturday, December 17th with many vendors to choose for shopping or snacking at this great vendor event. Plan to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him your Christmas wish list when he arrives at 4 pm at Olde Oak Station from 1 pm to 7 pm in Dixon, MO 65459

SEVENChristmas on Main Street On Saturday December 17th come see the Frisco caboose lit up for the holiday season and venture around downtown Crocker (across from city hall) beginning at 5 pm to enjoy some free food and beverages (while supplies last) from local businesses and organizations. Still haven’t given the big man your Christmas request? Stop in to the Ad Tracker building to see Santa and have your picture taken, then be sure to drop by the Frisco Depot Museum from 3 pm to 7 pm for cookies and sweets learning local railroad history. Be sure to check out the self – guided Frisco Railroad Driving Tour for a complete historical experience. Make sure you’ve got a good seat for the lighted Christmas Parade that begins at 5:30 pm it’s sure to be deLIGHTful!

EIGHT4th Annual Drive Thru Live Nativity Come experience this drive through live nativity Saturday, December 17th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Celebrate the true reason for the season with music, animals, and interactive scenes, hot chocolate, cookies and even a live camel making this a don’t miss event! Presented by the Dixon Assembly of God youth, young adults and Dixon community. 18499 north HWY 133 in Dixon, MO 65459

Other Holiday Events … Looking for a more meaningful memory to make this season bright? Be a part of honoring our veterans on Saturday December 17th at one of two Wreaths Across America events at Missouri Veterans Cemetery – FLW in Waynesville, MO 65583 or at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Richland, MO 65556. Ceremonies begin at 11 am and evergreen wreath laying to follow.
