Choosing to celebrate the holidays with family, locally? Pulaski County is ready for you! Various restaurants continue to be open throughout November and December. Area events include drive-to holiday light displays.

If you are planning to travel for the holidays be sure to review the CDC guidelines while traveling and gathering with family and friends. There are also virtual alternatives to consider in order to avoid travel and gatherings.

On November 18th, Pulaski County Health Center announced a MASK ADVISORY. Wear your mask while in public places, wash your hands, social distance, avoid touching your face, and stay home if you do not feel well.

STAY

Comfort Inn, St. Robert (573-336-3553) Features a heated indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, and business center open 24 hours. Onsite Marketplace is also around-the-clock. Breakfast served. Safety Precautions: Masks required in public areas when social distancing is not possible. Hand sanitizer is available at check-in and throughout the hotel. Book your stay today and lock in your $74 (plus tax) per night rate.

EAT

Colton’s Steak House & Grill, St. Robert (573-451-2686) We offer amazing food and great staff to help during the holiday season. Safety Precautions: Colton’s knows what’s at Steak! Front of the house staff are masked and following all CDC recommendations. If you are experiencing any symptoms or have had any contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive, please don’t enter. Holiday Hours: Open regular hours, Closed Thanksgiving day, open Christmas Eve.

Drachenfutter, Waynesville (573-232-1402) Dine-in, Carry-out, and curbside are available for your breakfast, bakery, lunch, dinner, and specialty coffee needs. Safety Precautions: Handwashing after each customer, and as each food product is made. Hand sanitizer and bathroom wash area available for customers. Masks for all front of house staff, gloves for all back of house staff, sanitize after every customer. They ask that you maintain a 6-foot distance if dining in. Please sit at alternating tables. They are also providing paper menus for bags. Holiday Hours: Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day

Route 66 Taco & Wing Company, St. Robert (573-232-1399) It’s not your average taco! Offers dine-in, to-go, and delivery to St. Robert/Waynesville area. Order online to skip the line! Safety Precautions: Contactless delivery and contactless pick-up options are also available. We ask that customers distance themselves six-feet from other unassociated guests while waiting to place orders or picking up to-go food. Plastic sneeze guards are available between the guest and our cashiers. Mask use is optional in accordance with recommendations. Holiday hours: Open Thanksgiving Eve until 3 pm. Open Christmas Eve until 3 pm. Open NORMAL HOURS New Year’s Eve. Open normal hours New Year’s Day. Closed Thanksgiving Day. Closed Christmas Day.

Smoovies Smoothie & Juice Bar, St. Robert (573-855-1639) Safety Precautions: Will use face masks upon request. Doors, seats, counters, and cards all sanitized after every customer. Curbside is also available upon request! If your feeling ill or have been in contact with anyone positive with COVID-19 please do not enter the shop. We are trying our best to curve the spike! Holiday hours: Wednesday through Saturday 11 am to 8 pm, and Sunday from 12 pm to 7 pm.

Laura’s Jewelry Designs, St. Robert (573-336-0171) Stop by and peruse our jewelry and gifts! 20% discount to military, first responder, and teachers. Safety Precautions: Cleaning surfaces often and limiting the number of customers in the showroom. It is recommended that shoppers wear a face mask. Holiday Hours: Closed Wednesdays and Weekends, closed Christmas Eve through January 3.

Route 66 Community Art Gallery, Waynesville (573-528-1292) Beautiful artwork, gifts, souvenirs, and crafting classes The gallery offers a Lunch Special between the hours of 11-1 on Fridays— receive a 20% discount! Safety Precautions: Sanitizing common areas, masking, social distancing, and has provided a customer sanitation station. Shoppers and browsers are asked to mask up when social distancing is not possible. Holiday hours: Open Fridays And Saturdays 10-5


EVENTS

Drive-thru light displays allow for proper social distancing from others that are not in your travel party.  Masks and proper sanitizing are recommended for other events and activities.  Check out our online interactive map for area festivities, light displays, and parades.

December 10-26th the Waynesville-Saint Robert Chamber of Commerce is lighting up Pulaski County!  Watch for announcements for the release of the online map of featured light displays provided by businesses and community members.
