July 4th: Independence Day Celebration Celebrate the 4th of July on Fort Leonard Wood with a Stars & Stripes Color Run from 9 am – 11 am and then check out the Independence Day Celebration at Gammon field beginning at 4pm. Military displays, bounce houses, petting zoo, car show, frisbee dog show, the largest fireworks display in the area, and MORE! Free to attend and open to the public but post access is required.

July 13th: 8th Annual Ultra Sweaty Santa Celebrate Christmas in July with a 6-hour endurance race! But don’t worry, you can come for 30 minutes, 3 - hours or stay for the entirety because this race is free. Race begins at 6 am and ends at 12 pm. Prizes given for the best dressed, top finishers and more. 21029 Teardrop Road in Devils Elbow, MO 65457

July 27th & 28th: Old Settlers Day Come visit with living history re-enactors, see their camps, and watch their demonstrations or shop with the craft vendors and pick up some great food. The Flower O' Scotland Dance Troupe performs on Saturday. Festival hours are Saturday 10 am – 5 pm and 10 am – 3:30 pm on Sunday. Event is free to attend at Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583

August 2nd & 3rd: Central Missouri 100 Mile Route 66 Yard Sale Get your kicks and explore the scenic byway of Route 66 while searching for treasures and bargains on this 100 mile yard sale! You’ll be sure to find some deals and have some fun while treasure hunting and be sure to grab a bite at one of the many eateries along the way! Multiple yard sales will be located along central Missouri's Route 66, days and hours of operation will vary for each location. Yard sales throughout Webster, Pulaski, and Laclede Counties.

Museums, Farmers Markets, & Reoccurring Events

Every Saturday April thru October: Old Stagecoach Stop Museum 10 am - 4 pm  Special Presentation on July 27th 10 am - 4 pm David & Teresa Chuber share Civil War medical implements, treatments and medicinal herbs used during that time period. The oldest building in Pulaski County built by W.W. McDonald in the mid 1850's and contains 10 rooms of history that have been restored to a different significant period in building's past. 106 Lynn Street in Waynesville, MO 65583 Busses, groups, and other visitors are also welcome by appointment. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated.

Every Saturday April thru September: 1903 Route 66 Courthouse Museum 11 am - 4 pm  Museum Closed July 27th. The original courthouse for Pulaski County and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Displays focus on the Trail of Tears, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, local history, and collections of quilts, farm equipment, and antiques. 303 Historic Route 66 in Waynesville, MO 65583 Busses, groups, and other visitors are also welcome by appointment. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated.

Year Round: Mahaffey Museum Complex Mon thru Fri 8 am - 4 pm & Sat 9 am - 3 pm Mahaffey Museum Complex houses the rich history and contributions of the Military Police, Army Engineers, and Chemical Warfare Units. This complex is adjacent to the WWII Army Complex Museum which replicates Fort Leonard Wood as it was during the 1940’s and the Memorial Grove area. 14296 South Dakota Avenue, Building 1607 on Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473 Closed Federal Holidays and July 4 -7 Museums are free, but Post Access to FLW is required.

By Appointment: Frisco Depot Museum & Caboose Local history museum featuring numerous artifacts and exhibits detailing the history of the railroad and the lives who helped build it. Guests can even get their photo with a real Frisco Caboose on display just steps away from the museum! Call Crocker City Hall to make appointment 573-736-5327 Museum located at 109 10th Street in Crocker, Missouri 65452 museum entrance is free, but donations are appreciated.

Every Saturday: *Pulaski County Farmers Market 8 am - 12 pm This weekly, year round market features fresh produce, baked goods, locally roasted coffee, tea, live plants, crafts, pet items, kid vendors and other home-made goods. Local authors, special vendors & food trucks vary by season. Farmers Market Pavilion, near the Roubidoux Spring Campground in Waynesville, MO 65583 *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors. 

July 13th & 27th: Crocker Farmers Market  9 am - 1 pm The market vendors vary and offer a selection of homemade, home grown, or home cooked goods. Market located Crocker Christian Church parking lot at 16200 Highway 17 South in Crocker, Missouri 65452

July 20th & Every Third Saturday: FFG Monthly 5K Donut Run Begins at 8 am Come run, walk, or bike this free, fun, 5K where everyone is welcome, and then stay for some tasty donuts and coffee! Normal location is Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, be sure to follow Healthy Futures Pulaski County on Face book for event updates and location changes.

Other Noteworthy Events

July 6th: Red, White & Blue Golf Tournament Celebrate Independence Day with this annual golf tournament open to ages 18+ 2-person teams will play 18 holes, All participants play with the same tees; six hole scramble, six holes best ball, and six hole alternative shot. This event is open to the public and those 18+, but Fort Leonard Wood Post Access is required !

July 13th: Cigar Roller Scott Biancardi at The Office Cigar Lounge Come watch and learn more about cigar rolling from Scott Biancardi, a renowned professional cigar roller, and gain insights into the art and industry of cigar making while enjoying this unique opportunity to witness the artistry of cigar rolling up close! Event is free to attend at The Office Cigar Lounge 593 Marshall Drive in Saint Robert, MO 65584

July 27th: Christmas in July 5K & Yard Sale Come run or walk this Christmas themed 5k beginning at 8 am and be sure to dress in your Christmas best to win a prize for the best outfit! Yard sale is 7 am – 12 pm and all funds go towards the Spearhead Christmas Morning Project. Run and sale are at the Waynesville Rural Fire  District Training Building located at 1501 Ousley Road in Waynesville, MO 65583

July 27th: Armed Services YMCA Annual Duck Race 10:30 am - 4 pm Come join the fun and watch the ducks strutting their stuff and go for ‘Best Dressed’, then speed their way down the Roubidoux to be crowned the ‘Speediest Duck.” Free event to attend, but racing ducks are sponsored.
