This day connects kids and families with local, state, and national parks and public lands through thousands of park events promoting discovery and exploration in the great outdoors. We will also use this event to showcase local summer programs and expose our youth to events and activities of all kinds. We believe that exposure leads to development. Exposing our youth to new skills, projects, or adventures will strengthen them as individuals, our community, and our future. The event will take place on June 3rd, and I anticipate this event being the most significant youth event ever in Waynesville City Park. Plan to attend and bring a friend.
