Pulaski County Signature Events Listed in Red

October 6th: Richland FFA 2nd Annual Truck & Tractor Pull  6 pm - 10 pm  Come see the power of these machines as they pull in many different classes to benefit the Richland FFA Club. Bring your appetite for a fish dinner too! Jeremiah Brackett Pulling Track at Shady Dell Park in Richland, MO 65556 Entrance fee required.

October 7th: Frog Hill Half Marathon & Tadpole 10K Come for the run and stay for the FUN! Run the half marathon or 10K for a medal or complete the 5k Leap Frog the night before to receive extra medals to complete the Frog Hill Challenge. Half Marathon & 10K begin at East Elementary at 8 am on Saturday and the 5K begins at Roubidoux Park on Friday at 6 pm. All races end at Roubidoux Park and Fall Fest is to follow at Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583 Registration on site or in advance.

October 7th: Nasty Pulaski Grave Grind Bike races begin at 8 am The Full Nasty 83.5 mile course is a highlight with the longest challenge, yet the Half Nasty 44.1 mile option gives you a taste of adventure and the Mini Nasty 24.3 mile course has less of a commitment with all routes ridden in the scenic Ozarks. Stay after the races for the Fall Fest. Races begin and end at Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583 Registration on site or in advance.

Fall Fun & Seasonal Events

Every Friday & Saturday in October & October 31st: Rising Haunted Attraction Mid-Missouri's most horrifying haunt is back for an 8th season with new scenes, an expanded trail, and more monsters than ever before! The scare begins at 8 pm -11 pm 25238 Raleigh Road in Waynesville, MO 65583 Entrance fee required.

October 6, 7, 13, 14, 21, 28: Haunted River Float  Venture on the half mile float on the haunted river in the dark and then explore the haunted trial and forest to find the haunted house. Shoot some zombies in zombie paintball, check out the escape rooms and axe throwing. Ruby’s Landing 22474 Restful Lane in Waynesville, MO 65583 Activity fee required.

October 7th: Fall Fest 12 - 8:30 pm. A community appreciation event featuring live music, hot dog eating contest, games, prizes, food trucks, all types of vendors, a beer garden and finishes off with a professional fireworks display at dusk. Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583 This is a free event presented by Geoff Knoll.

October 14th: Oktoberfest on the Square  11 am - 4 pm A family friendly event with over 40 vendors from homemade items, crafts, t-shirts, wood items. direct sales business, non-profit organizations, food vendors, LIVE music and much more. On the Square in Waynesville, MO 65583 Free Event

This Event Has Been Canceled → October 21st: American Legion Auxiliary Fall Craft Fair 10 am – 2 pm Annual Fall Craft Fair to get your holiday shopping in first gear. Come support local crafters, artisans, direct sales and foodies. American Legion Post 331 484 St. Robert Outer Road, St. Robert, MO 65584 Entrance is free!

October 21st: Trick or Read 11 am - 8 pm A fun filled day for the whole family! Multiple vendors, food, free comic books and crafts then evening fun with costume contests, best decorated trunk contest, and safe candy grabs with a trunk or treat for the kiddos! Comic Hoarderz 320 Ichord Avenue, Suite Q in Waynesville, MO 65583 This is a free event!

October 21st: Crocker Park Board’s Trunk or Treat 4 pm - 6 pm Free hot dogs, chips, and drinks (while supplies last) Free hayrides will be available, a game area, a photo booth, contest for the best decorated trunk, and local organizations and individuals handing out candy. Crocker Community Park in Crocker, MO 65452 Free Event

October 1: Kickapoo Trace Muzzleloaders Black Powder Shoot  11:30 am - 1:30 pm Shoot is open to the public; muzzleloader guns, rifles, pistols or smooth bore, percussion or flintlock, no inline or other modern weapons. Knife and hawk throw may also be included and prizes of meat are awarded. 16490 Cracklin Drive in Dixon, MO 65459 Shooting fee required. 

October 6th: Community Pride Night 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm A community celebration in conjunction with homecoming festivities, free hotdogs and soda and many community businesses giveaways. Takes place in front of Waynesville High School Gym at 200 GW Lane in Waynesville, MO 65583 Free Event

October 28th: 14th Annual Free Women's Center Run/Walk for Life 8 am - 11 am  Dress in your raddest outfit for this 80’s themed 5K fun walk / run supporting the Free Women’s Center and the Nativity House. 5K begins and ends in Roubidoux Park in Waynesville, MO 65583 This is a fundraiser fun walk / run.

Museums

Every Saturday: Old Stagecoach Stop Museum 10 am - 4 pm  The oldest building in Pulaski County built by W.W. McDonald in the mid 1850's and contains 10 rooms of history that have been restored to a different significant period in building's past. 106 Lynn Street in Waynesville, MO 65583 Busses, groups, and other visitors are welcome by appointment. Entrance is free but donations are appreciated.

Every Saturday: 1903 Pulaski County Courthouse Museum 11 am - 4 pm  (Museum will not be open on October 14th) Local Pulaski County History Museum containing local history exhibits, original courtroom, displays of Trail of Tears, Civil War, WWI, WWII, collection of cameras, quilts and antiques. 303 Historic Route 66 E. in Waynesville, MO 65583 Entrance is free, but donations are appreciated.

Saturday, October 21st: Frisco Depot Museum 10 am - 2 pm Displays representing the history of the Frisco Railroad, museum features local collections of railroad memorabilia. 109 10th Street in Crocker, MO 65452 Free Admittance - also open for groups by special arrangement.

Farmers Markets and Other Reoccurring Events

Every Saturday:  Pulaski County Farmers Market* 8 am - 12 pm  This weekly, year round market features fresh produce, baked goods, locally roasted coffee, tea, live plants, crafts, pet items, kid vendors and other home-made goods. Local authors, special vendors & food trucks vary by season. 8 am - noon at the Farmers Market Pavilion, near the Roubidoux Spring Campground in Waynesville, MO 65583  *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors.

October 7th & 21st: Crocker Farmers Market* 9 am - 1 pm This farmers market features only handmade, homegrown or up-cycled items with food and beverage vendors on site and food trucks on occasion. Market at Crocker Community Park under the blue pavilion in Crocker, MO 65452 *Vendors and product availability dependent on weather and other factors.

October 21st: Buckhorn Route 66 Swap Meet Set up & shopping begins at 6:30 am Last swap for 2023 and runs until vendors are done selling. A unique swap and shop environment, you never know what you’ll find, vendors vary each swap meet! Located near the Interstate Plaza, off of I-44 exit 163 and Route 66 in Waynesville, MO 65583

November 11th: Veterans’ Day Parade & Ceremony 11:00 am - 1: 30 pm This year’s parade will be preceded by a ceremony beginning at 11 am and after the ceremony, the parade will step at approximately at 11:30 am and conclude in Saint Robert. Ceremony at St. Robert Community Center parking lot at 194 East Lawn Avenue in Saint Robert, MO 65584 Parade may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Free Event
